About the Event

Presenting St Barnabas Hospice’s highly anticipated Ironwork In Memory appeal: Feathers from Above.

The ‘Feathers from Above’ appeal is an installation of 1,000, handmade feathers that offer supporters a unique way to remember a loved one. Aubourn Hall and Gardens will host this spectacular display, available for members of the public to visit from 2nd to 17th May.

Kevin Baumber, the local craftsman behind the 2024 Ironwork, explains: “I was looking to create something that would interact with the wind a little and move in the breeze. I hope it will be beautiful and thought provoking.” There are a limited number available to purchase, each which can be personalised with a loved one’s name. Every feather helps St Barnabas care for patients and their families, at a time when they need it most.

Feathers From Above - Daytime Displays

Join St Barnabas Hospice for the Feathers From Above Ironwork installation at Aubourn Hall & Gardens. 1000 feathers, handmade by local Steel Fabricator, Kevin Baumber will be displayed for two weeks in May - in memory of loved ones no longer here, and in support of St Barnabas Hospice.

Daytime Displays are open 10am - 4pm from Saturday 4th May to Friday 17th May.

A map of the gardens in bloom will be available to collect at the entrance, with refreshments also available. If you have purchased a feather, you will have a code to access one free ticket to the display. The code must be used at the point of booking.
